As God is omniscient, there is no question of praying for anything from Him at all. Instead, purify the mind, and try to understand Him rightly. Regard Him as omnipotent and leave everything to His will. The reason for praying to and reminding God is sheer ignorance about His omniscience, and the consequent fear and weakness the mind feels. Accepting God as all-knowing and all-powerful, leave all desires, and outlive the habit of praying for anything in particular.
