 Q : Is it possible to spiritually succeed in life without a spiritual guide?

A:   I would like you to go into the question and the thoughts behind it well.

1.  If your aim is to take to spirituality, pursue it well and be effective, then is it not natural for you to read, think and seek the right help and guidance to facilitate and quicken your efforts? To be guided is to strengthen, intensify and accelerate the effort. Is not anything such most desirable, nay imperative? Why any doubt or conflict at all?
2. For me, the deeksha my Gurudev gave me and the saadhana I did thereafter are paramount. They cut short the whole effort, gave it the right focus, speed and fruition.
3. In any striving, can the striver be indifferent to get the right guidance?  Guidance alone makes his striving flawless and fast. Not to seek or deny help or guidance is against the very zeal of the pursuit. None can make his own alphabet and study the language!
4. Even with guidance, it is the striver’s mind, intelligence and heart that alone count.  Saadhana belongs to the saadhaka.
