Glossary of terms used on this site

Sanskrit : पुरुषार्थ; The four objects of human pursuit, dharma(righteousness), artha(wealth), kāma(desires) and moksha(liberation).

sanskrit : राग ; Any feeling or passion, love, affection or sympathy for, vehement desire for, interest or joy or delight in.

sanskrit : रजस्  ; The second of the three gunas or qualities identified by activity, passion and emotions.

Sanskrit : रास ; rustic dance practised by cowherds, (esp.) the dance practised by Kṛṣṇa and the Gopīs.

Sanskrit : रति; Delight, Fondness.

Sanskrit : ऋग्वेद; Name of a Veda, An ancient sacred book of the Hindus.

Sanskrit : रोमहर्ष; The bristling of the hairs of the body , thrill (caused by joy, fear, cold etc.)

Sanskrit : सद्गुरु ; a good teacher.

a  sādhaka  ( Sanskrit : साधक) is someone who follows a particular  sādhanā , or a way of life designed to realize the goal of one's ultimate ideal, whether it is merging with  brahman  or realization of one's personal deity.

Sanskrit: साधना; a sādhaka (spiritual aspirant) undertakes a pursuit (sādhanā) to attain the fruition (siddhi's). Generally speaking sādhanā is a discipline or dedicated effort undertaken in the pursuit of a goal, liberation in this case.
