| Garhastya | Sanskrit : गार्हस्थ्य ; गृहस्थाश्रम The order of a householder. |
| guna | Sanskrit : गुण ; A quality, attribute or property in general. A property of all created things; three are particularized, the sattva, raja and tama, or principles of truth or existence, passion, and darkness or ignorance. |
| Guru | sanskrit : गुरु, Represents the one who carries on in the tradition of the guru-shishya relationship . Lit. one who removes the darkness of ignorance. The importance of finding a guru who can impart transcendental knowledge (vidyā) is emphasised in the Vedantic Culture. |
| Gurudev | Sanskrit : गुरुदेव ; embodiment of the Guru principle, spiritual master, preceptor. |
| haritaki | Sanskrit : हरीतकी ; the yellow Myrobalan tree. |
| havan | Sanskrit : हवन; A fire receptacle, the act of offering an oblation with fire, sacrifice. |
