यदि मामप्रतीकार-मशस्त्रं शस्त्रपाणय: ।
धार्तराष्ट्रा रणे हन्युस्तन्मे क्षेमतरं भवेत्‌ ।। १.४६ ।।

yadi mām-apratikāram aśastraṁ śastrapāṇayaḥ ।
Dhārtrāṣtrā raṇe hanyuḥ tanme kṣemataraṁ bhavet ।। 1.46 ।।

 If the sons of Dhritarashtra with upraised
weaponry kill me, who is bereft of weapons and
resolved not to resist and counter, that will be the better
for me.
