न हि प्रपश्यामि ममापनुद्याद् यच्छोकमुच्छोषणमिन्द्रियाणाम्  ।
अवाप्य भूमावसपत्नमृद्धं राज्यं सुराणामपि चाधिपत्यम् ।। २.८ ।।

na hi prapaśyāmi mamāpanudyād yat-shokam-ucchoṣaṇam-indriyāṇāṁ ।
avāpya bhūmāu-asapatna-ṛddham rājyaṁ surāṇām-api ca-adhipatyam ।।2.8।।

  I do not see anything to redress the sorrow that
scorches my senses. Gaining unrivalled kingship on
this earth or the lordship over gods above will not be
of any avail at all.

Note: Arjuna clearly denounces heaven as a relevant
prospect for him. He also is indifferent to worldly
possessions, thereby earnestly looking for something
greater to console and relieve him instantly. This is the
true spiritual quest.
