Harih Om Tat Sat. I wrote to you last on 23rd April about the subject. Jamshedpur Distribution in Jamshedpur and outskirts is quite important and relevant, with more people coming to receive food and a greater outreach by Ashok Ghosh, especially in the remote and marginalized tribal pockets of Jharkhand State. In Guru Jaat Sangh (Sonari), people needing food daily have risen from 2500 to 5000, and are likely to continue till May 17. At Babu Kumar Singh Chowk (Jugsalai) also, the distribution is expected to continue till then. CIRD devotees are taking part in the distribution – in procuring and reaching the supplies as well as in serving food. As the lockdown is extended, lack of work is crippling people to a much greater extent than we could imagine.
A new emerging note in Kerala A number of daily wage earners in the country totally depend upon work of various kinds like construction, carpentry, self-owned auto and taxi driving, photography, those involved in the conduct of wedding and other social functions, all of which are at a standstill. While initially they were somehow able to manage by borrowing, now they feel helpless to bear the impact of extended lockdown. From Avinissery and Cherpu panchayats, two groups of people came to the Ashram explaining their plight and seeking help. I feel we should strive to meet the emergent needs as long as and to the extent it is possible. In the whole mission, every one subscribing as well as serving alike, should feel grateful that we are able to help, however small a degree, and serve the society at a time of dire need. My special fondness, regards and blessings to all those, who share in this service mission as also the recipients, who come forward to receive the materials and use them in their life. Daana stands distinct in the triplet of Yajna, Daana and Tapas. In Daana, the givers and receivers find their joy and fulfilment alike. Love and ashirvaad.
