Guru Jayanthy was celebrated on 13 May 2017 at 8.30 a.m. Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha’s photograph was beautifully decorated with chrysanthemum and purple orchids. A serene and sublime atmosphere with 48 devotees in attendance. The auspicious event commenced with Bhajans which gave the whole event a sublime start. Sri Parthiban Siwayanan and Smt Subashini Raghavan performed the Paada Pooja, as Sri Nyanaveelan led the recitation of the Naamavalli.
Poojya Swamiji’s video recorded message was viewed with awe and reverence. As a practice over the years; Smt Swarnalatha, Sri Gopinathan Suresh, Sri Ramakrishnan Suppiah and Sri Somanathan Menon gave a short account of their spiritual journey with Swamiji. Everyone paid obeisance by offering rose petals at the holy lotus feet of Poojya Swamiji and received prasada. Guru Jayanthy celebration concluded with bhakti-bhojan at 12.00 p.m. On this auspicious day, everyone immersed themselves wholeheartedly and the feeling of gratitude and love for our Guru was immense.
