अहो बत महत्पापं कर्तुं व्यवसिता वयम्‌ ।
यद्राज्यसुखलोभेन हन्तुं स्वजनमुद्यता: ।। १.४५ ।।

aho bata mahatpāpaṁ kartuṁ vyavasitā vayam ।
yadrājyasukhalobhena hantuṁ svajanamudyatā: ।। 1.45 ।।

 We are out to perpetrate the heinous sin due to
greed for kingdom and royal comforts, we are out to
kill the relatives.

Note: This is where Arjuna degrades himself. No war, or
any other social adventure, should be taken up with any
personal motive the least. Social efforts should be guided
by socially beneficial thoughts and motivations alone.
