बीजं मां सर्वभूतानां विद्धि पार्थ सनातनम् ।
बुद्धिर्बुद्धिमतामस्मि तेजस्तेजस्विनामहम् ।। ७.१० ।।
बलं बलवतां चाहं कामरागविवर्जितम् ।
धर्माविरुद्धो भूतेषु कामोऽस्मि भरतर्षभ ।। ७.११ ।।

bījaṁ māṁ sarva-bhūtānāṁ viddhi pārtha sanātanam |
buddhir-buddhimatām-asmi tejas-tejasvinām-aham || 7.10 ||
balaṁ balavatāṁ cāhaṁ kāma-rāga-vivarjitam |
dharmāviruddho bhūteṣu kāmo’smi bharatarṣabha || 7.11 ||

After describing how the five elements (panca-bhutas) manifest Divinity, Krishna tries to cultivate a wholesome outlook in the mind of the seeker, to make the vision of the Supreme reign unbrokenly. He points out that the very power called life in beings – the power that brings about their birth, makes them feel hunger and thirst, eat, grow, act and react, physically, mentally and otherwise – is again the Supreme alone. The touch of the supreme Power and Presence alone is felt and perceived in all the beings of earth. Not alone in humans, but in all the others too, the Supreme alone expresses and manifests.

Know Me as the eternal seed of all beings, intelligence of the intelligent, brilliance of the brilliant. I am the vigour of the vigorous, free of greed and possessiveness. Of those who are aligned with dharma, I am the passion.

From gross substances constituting the world of matter and energy, Krishna now goes to some qualities of humans themselves, where the touch of Supreme has to be felt and noticed. He wants to bring Divinity as close to the seeker as possible. Krishna’s words on the subject are again “I am the eternal seed of all beings”. The meaning and emphasis are quite obvious. Godliness does not provide for any exclusion at all. Everything is divine, in and out.

“I am the intelligence in the intelligent beings, and the glory of the glorious.” The strength, bereft of greed and possessiveness, is also Divine. Even righteous passion, he says, comes under Divinity.
