"Devotion is a means as well as its true end when it grows into a full treasure. When devotion becomes a treasure, you will need nothing more for inner fullness or affluence. As devotion grows, it will begin to free you of all desire, hatred and fear. It will relieve poverty, either by making you amply resourceful or by taking away from you the very feeling of poverty. Devotion also will remove your weakness, generating untold strength and confidence."

Vedantic Wisdom and the Right Way of Living - A lucid, comprehensive presentation of the different paths leading to man's supreme Goal.

In this book Poojya Swamiji Bhoomananda Tīrtha deals with the essentials of Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga, Jnana Yoga and Dhyana yoga. Revealing how all these paths are beautifully harmonised in the comprehensive canvas of Vedanta, the author finally unfolds before the reader "The Right way of living".

Extracts from the Book:

Vedanta enables us to understand life fully and work our way to perfection, harmony and fulfillment. It is not reserved for Sannyaasins and scholars, and certainly not a pastime for the old. A right understanding of Vedanta will make a man excel in whatever field he is. The earlier one takes to this path the better.

Yet, there is one thing, the witness of all these changes, which remains ever steady, as does the water in the flow of Ganges. This witness reveals itself in the form of ‘I’…..

The Karma Saadhaka must do all his karmas well—‘well” here means without allowing himself to be agitated by the thoughts of the results. When the results appear, when they do not, and likewise when any adverse results are met, he must be able to preserve his contentment, the equableness of his mind. “Yes, I have done the karma and as is usual, it has had the destined end. What is there to be joyous or be moody about? Every outcome is quite all right for me”………

For gaining the Vedantic goal or the realization of God or Self, we found there are several paths. None of these paths, in truth, differs from any other, as the goal to be achieved by all is the same. The differences between the paths are like the differences you find in the clothes we put on our body. The clothes are widely different, in their texture, colour and design. The purpose to be served by all of them is, however, the same. A particular kind of cloth may appeal to a group of people, and another kind to another group. That is all…….
