सङ्करो नरकायैव कुलघ्नानां कुलस्य च ।
पतन्ति पितरो ह्येषां लुप्तपिण्डोदकक्रिया: ।। १.४२ ।।

saṅkaro narakāy' aiva kula-ghnānāṁ kulasya ca ।
patanti pitaro hy eṣām lupta-piṇḍ' odaka-kriyāḥ ।। 1.42 ।।

 Cast admixture conduces to hell for the lineage
and the destroyer of lineage. Then will fall the
ancestors from their lofty domain, due to the
termination of rice ball offering and allied rituals to
the departed souls.
