Harih Om Tat Sat. The first trip of two truckloads of food materials left the Ashram about 3 pm for distribution to the residents of all the 15 Wards of our Paralam Panchayat. By the time the third loaded truck left it was 4.45 pm.

More than 7.5 tonnes of rice were there, 10 kg for each family. This was so because the kit Govt. gave to the white ration card holders did not have rice, and they found it hard to manage their kitchen.

This is the first time that residents of all the 15 wards of the Panchayat are served alike. None besides the token holders had arrived during the distribution – something greatly relieving and fulfilling indeed!

In the light of what took place during the Kerala floods and now Covid 19, a new orientation in our perception will have to be adopted with regard to the yearly Annavastra Dana Satram, we have been conducting for the past 34 years.
